this is really strange but lately everytime i try to click on the winMX icon to open it i was gettin a blue screen and had to restart the puter and i noticed that the error message i was gettin was a navap one, which i did a search on and found was my nortons. So i disabled my nortons antivirus, connected WinMX then re-enabled my nortons and ive had no probs. Ive done a full virus scan with two different programs and no viruses in my system, does anyone know why nortons would be giving me the blue screen when i try to connect to MX?

sounds like your basic buggy application, in otherwords some type of incompatibility.
It happens more then you wish to know.
Just finished reading a article in technology today.
seems programming is getting worse not better.
that sums it up in a nutshell.

Here is a laugh, when bill gates was testifying in congress in regards to the microsoft anit-trust suit. He was asked if he can remove components of the operating system, so as to have a fair playing field for competitors. He had to admit and say he could not. When asked why not, he said the coding was so entwined ( in other words, no clear cohesive approach to creating the operating system) it was impossible. The result today is components that he was asked to be remove are simply hidden, as his engineers cannot figure out how to fix it.

well long winded answer to let you know programing windows is hit and miss.
