Hi to you all, I am just hoping that you have more brains than me!
I have been fully using "Kazaa Lite" for months, both on the forums and for downloading (my love!) movies.
Well believe it or not I formatted my hard drive, put all my programs back and then on to my beloved "Kazaa Lite" Yes it came on as usual and yes I am downloading a file as usual, but when I click on "KazaaLite.com Forums" on the top of the window I get this very, very frustrating message!
It is even more frustrating because I have no idea what it means!
Please help so that I can relax and enjoy this weekend when you are 74 you don't have too many left!
Bye. Norman This is the message!

GATEWAY TIMEOUT.
The following error occurred.
A DNS hookup error occured. The request timed out during the hookup.

Are you doing this from home and do you use a router or firewall?

Next questions, How do you connect to the internet, Dial Up or Cable, DSL?

Who is your ISP?

Are you trying to use a proxy for your internet and web browsing?

And, what Operating System do you use?

Granted, when I have something open in a browser for an hour while I do whatever, allows you to post ahead of me without my knowing it, but when you quote me, you piss me off, let me do my own work and dont answer for anyone else.

Krell,
I did ask what ISP he was using before you did so please get off my back, I was just relaying it because you obviously did not read my post. If you would have then I would not have had to quote you. :wings

ok, when you get this error in the browser(inside kazaa) hit control+n and that will open a new window. Then copy that url from the address bar and post it here and I will check it out.

it sounds like the forums maybe down, ill double check right now, ?.,.,,
Well the forum link works, I'm using the latest build of the beta, my screen reader isn't seeing a url in the sddress bar, so I can't help you there.
The forums on the start page are the same as the k-lite.tk boards, so go to
www.k-lite.tk
and look for the link there.

Most likely you meant DNS lookup error. This occurs when the domain name cannot be resolved. Can you get to the link triniti posted?

To shellreef. Yes I can get to the link that trinti posted (thank you triniti!) and to be honest the forums work perfectly when using triniti's link! But it still bothers me that for months I have clicked on the forum button at the top of "KaZaa Lite" open window and have gone directly to them, but now instead I get the said message!
Oh I just checked and IT DOES say lookup and not hookup! not that it makes any difference to me because I still do not understand what it means or why it is there!
Well I quess I am taking up too much of your time seeing that I can get to the KaZaa Lite forums with my now saved link!
So thanks again to all. Norman

Aww, leave the cookie monster alone.

Its not like he/she spammed the boards with the "1-3" line comments. Just one. It didn't affect anything.

Take it easy now....
