I tried the new shareaza, but then uninstalled it and now back to 1.8 but dont seem to be connecting well to g2hubs, i looked under >discovery and found 10-12 urls with found 300plus hosts ....... ne 1 facing similar problems?

You sure you have the shareaza GWebCache?
Try right clicking and pressing Connect Now

If you are getting (refused) errors this is a known problem there seems to be a bug. with the hubs accepting connectoins mike knows about this and it will hopefully be fixed.
