Wwn AOM was first released, I read about 10 different reviews, then I spent about 35 minutes in Compusa reading and re-reading the packaging. FInally, I put it back on the shelf and walked away. I know I'm evaluating a game I haven't even tried but I know I wouldn't like it that much--if they had more civ's, I probably would have gone for it--if Romans, Babylonians or Assyrians or Carthaginians or Aztecs show up in the upgrade, I'll consider it. What I really like about AOE and AOK is the variety of civ's. I'd pick one and spend a week challenging all the rest, then go down the list--never got bored of that. Just three civ's? Nah, I'm all set thanks.
If it were up to me (or when I'm World Emperor) I would take the improved production ques and other upgrades from of Age of Kings and paste them into Empires. I like the civ's/time period in Empires better, and I have spent not a few hours with the scenario builder, using gigantic maps and re-enacting campaigns from the good ols days. It would also be interesting to take some of the Empire civ's, like the Assyrians or Romans and pit them agianst the Mayans or Aztecs from Kings. I'm so retro...

Is it just me or have all your posts been about retarded shit like this?
So far it's 2 mp3 player ones...some crap about not being a file sharing newbie...and some other crap.
Please, for the LOVE of god(s), stop with the lame polls and such....
I can feel my brain cells ebbing away with every viewing....
Least make the topic a bit nicer...."Who loves AOM" would have been nice.....

Actually its more like 9 once you factor in the gods. E.g. there is a huge difference in tactics when using Ra, Set or Isis in multiplayer, those three are all egyption.

age of mythology is the best...if i can get it to work again.
if anybody can help, my issue is in the windows forum and titled "How do you lower the CPU Usage"?
Also in the post i posted on the second page and gave the exact error message. This is one tough issue so far not even gateway e support can fix it.

GOOD LORD MAN, WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ? There are 12 different civilizations comprized into 4 groups. Greek, Norse, Egyption, and now Atlantean. Each race has 3 different main Gods.
There is enough diversity to keep you playing for weeks and still not master everything. I've been playing this game for over a year and a half and have only started becoming bored.

and then if further divides into another three civs each altho similar, but not the same. the minor gods u choose in the game really affect gameplay
