Hi. i'm getting stange macrovision like (i think) distortion on my downloaded films (divx) when i play them in windows media player. this is out of the blue. anyone know whats goin on?

Did you see those Windows Media's "screensavers" or was another thing?

Do you notice they say they are like 22 hours long as well? Try playing them in Divx player, if that clears it up, you are having a codec issue. Some movie won't play in windows media player regardless of your codecs. Maybe think about adopting a new video player for watching or get used to having to use more than one.

Sounds like you need the ffdshow filter. I had a green problem with a movie that I had downloaded and it solved the problem.

cheers guys. yeh i tryed divx player before i posted which worked. but the filter fixes the prob on mediaplayer.

I had a blue green haze divx in windows media 9, then installed the k-lite codec pack and it fixed the issue.
