Trillian is nice but you know it doesn't have all the features AIM and DeadAIM offer.

From the Dead AIM Site:
DeadAIM has the following features:
Customisation
Customisable buddy list.
Tabbed instant message windows.
Window transparency effects.
Logging
Logging of conversations.
Logging of events (e.g. sign on/off).
Logging of images and sounds.
Log search ability.
Other
Ability to run multiple AIMs (cloning).
MSN style popup notifications.
Last I recalled, Trillian PRO had all of these. Some require plugins, which are not hard to install anyway.
In fact it's actually easier to run trillian for things such as multiple AIMS because you can sign on as many as you want off the same instance or you can open up a whole new instance of trillian.
There is a plugin that allows trillian to be tabbed also, kind of like what it looks like when you recieve a message when away and the windows end up inside another window. The plugin turns it on full time.
There are also two plugins for MSN style notification. One of them is plain like the actual MSN one and another has a lot of features.
So yeah, Dead AIM is not better than trillian. I used to use it back in the day with AIM though. Extreme AIM was another good one.

They should just provide hash links for it on Kazaa, Gnutella and eMule. Or use a BitTorrent style download.
WHY DOESN'T THE WORLD USE BITTORRENT FOR HIGHLY DEMANDED FILES?!?!?!?!?!?!? IT WOULD SAVE $$$$ LIKE NO TOMORROW!!!!!!!
This is pathetic, even the website itself should be bittorrent style downloading, when someone wants to download the webpage, it directs them to 20 people that have the page loaded. It's genius. Think about all the power Microsoft must waste as people sit there and download SP1 every 1.7 seconds.

Microsoft.com is a cluster of over 100 webservers and as well money and power don't concearn them.

Sorry, it was just the first use I could think of it off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure money and power do concern them, otherwise they wouldn't try to screw us all.
The words Windows ME come to mind, yeah, that would be screwing us, LOL.
Where'd you hear they had 100 servers?

I've had trillian Pro..I wasn't much for it. It may have had most or all these features but something I do remember is when you would tell trillian to make the background black it would make yours black and no one else's. I feel stupid typing in green or something with a background that oonly follows my typing.

Where do I find this? I checked out their website and didn't see it. It's really the only thing I liked about DeadAIM over Trillan. And it says that it's a restricted area for paying members or somethin..............

I use AIM+ which is alot like MyIM or whatever it's called. Logging and all that bs, I really only use it because they took the ads out. This isn't fully compatible with AIM 5.0 yet I am afraid.

I don't know if AIM+ will ever support AIM 5. They haven't updated their app in a very long time. Not that I care, I'm still using AIM 4.8 and I didn't like AIM 5 at all when I tried it.

You have to pay for trillian pro, to get access to the member's area... However there are other ways to get the plugins... Just think about it ;)

DeadAIM was nice because it allowed for tabbing and it had alerts when people signed on. It was also compatible with even the latest beta version (if you knew how to install it).

Let's all do them a favor and not make their website supply the bandwidth for the download anymore.
