I have been running emule for several hours and there has not been one upload for quite some time. This is unusual because there becuase quite often there is enough uploads coming from me that's continually reaching the bandwidth threshold, and it stays there until I shut down the app.
I can still download and I tested my FTP program, and my upload ability is still there.
My question is this. Is there just nobody uploading what I have, or did my ISP block the upload stream for the emule port?
I have a cable connection, and the ports have been fowarded on the router as I can still download.
Input anyone? Thanks in advance.

Its possible that emule users are going a bit crazy now that they have an additional source to dl from.
I know I have quite a number of emule users in my ul queue with this new Shareaza beta.
This is only an opinion.

It may be nothing but a strange coincedence. I know what you mean uploads are always on. But I have noted on strange instances that uploads would go to like 5kbps or some almost nothing. In other words it does happen. But I wouldn't worry unless it stays like that for a extremely long time.
Then I might re-install or something like that.
Get a new mod or version.

It's obvious, Shareaza is causing the problems. It's so obvious.

I just downloaded the new shareaza. It's pretty good. Kind of like a e-donkey/gnutella hybrid.

Havent used the new Shareaza yet but it looks promising! I wondeer how it performs in the downloads from the doneky network. is it pretty fast, does it find sources fast?

No its pretty sucky, i had a 600MB download with over 500 sources queued up - normally id expect a download like this to take 24-36 hours on emule, when i came back after 16 hours on shareaza only 20MB had been completed.
It is also too hard to connect to a good server, i couldnt connect to silent bob at all.
Maybe they will have it properly implemented given time, but for now i would say give shareaza a miss.

Actually from the new shareaza, I was getting downloads that were about 1mb per second. Most of the stuff I want I already downloaded and burned. I was just looking to keep sharing.
I got a steady stream from emule again. I want to keep my uploads at about 50k or so because my landlord who lives downstairs has kids who use the web and everquest and since we share a connection on the router, when my uploads are too high it affects them downstairs, then they call the cable company complaining that it's too slow.( They don't know what's really going on.)
My cable company doesn't like bandwidth hogs, especially when they are using p2p, so I'm trying to play it cool.
Thanks for all your help guys.
Im looking into giving overnet a try too.
And yes, it seems as if there's alot of e-donkeys in my shareaza queue

winphuk you only need to upload 10kbps to get max download speed.
did you know that?
anything lower than 10kbps lowers your max download speed.

yup!
its good to share as much as you can but in your situation it's best to keep your uploads to the minimum requirements.
