First get the latest nero, then do new, then other, then video cd, then drag the avi file over, make sure you have the proper codecs prior to this, then burn away!

Supreme, is the file set up into a cue, bin file or is it an mpg file?

I burn my DIVX files to VCD in Nero all the time and watch them in my theater and I am talking .mpg and .avi not .bin or .iso. Nero does a conversion which takes like 20-30 mins first then burns them. Sorry if you don't believe me but I do it.

Well a VCD compared to an SVCD is no different when converting from an avi or mpg. But let me know if you get Nero doing it or not. I don't really know the difference between VCD and SVCD though.

btw if your going to burn a svcd file using the cue or bin u might want to allow nero to simulate the burn process to be sure its a success that way you dont waste a cd.
