I'm trying to play a movie, but the movie shows up with green all over it and strange vague large pixels. So far I have tried:
-XviD.Alpha.05.04.2003.0240.exe
-XviD-04102002-1.exe
-XviD-Dec-300303.exe
-XVidv17SetupEN.exe
And Nimo Codec pack for the AC3 audio codec. (not using Xvid codec from Nimo Codec pack)
Any suggestions on a good Xvid codec would be nice :D

Before you try anymore, Uninstall all the 9000 codacs you already installed. Alot of times they will cancel each other out or will fight to see who will use it then they wont work. You will want install one at a time to see if it works. And use the Xvid from the main site:
http://www.xvid.org/
One thing you might try is to burn it and take it to another friends house and try it on there machine or re-download another version. It could be that the movie is Fuc*ed up. Good luck.

although this is a good proceedure and should be done by everyone, i dont think it is the problem here. this is a common symtom of a lac of a ffdshow filter, which is what i reccomended he Download. though i could very well be wrong. lets just see what he has to say.

What ever works, it would be a good one to use as part of a how to thread.

Damn... doesn't anyone else but me use 3ivx???
3ivx.com (http://www.3ivx.com/download)
From 3ivx website:
3ivx Delta 4
What is 3ivx?
3ivx video is a modern MPEG-4 video compression system which allows high quality video in unprecedented file sizes.
You can store over 2 hours of near DVD quality video on a single CD-ROM or stream near DVD quality video over a cable modem or DSL modem.
Why should I install 3ivx?
The 3ivx decoder plays back most MPEG-4 variants (including DivX 3,4 and 5, Apple MPEG-4, Philips MPEG-4 and XviD). The 3ivx decoder produces noticeably higher quality video than other decoders due to its high quality post-processing filters, and because of its core design and optimization maintains a record-breaking decode speed. The windows version of the decoder includes an AAC audio decoder for Windows Media Player as well as a Media Splitter (to play back .avi, .mov and .mp4 files inside Windows Media Player).
The 3ivx encoder produces industry-leading compact high quality MPEG-4 video and is distributed as a plug-in for QuickTime as well as a plug-in for Video for Windows. This allows you to encode MPEG-4 video in .avi, .mov or .mp4 files (with AAC audio) with the encoding application of your choice.
Where can I download it?
There's a box on the right side of the page. Click on the platform of your choice and follow the instructions.
Can I buy a 3ivx license?
Yes. Please visit our store.
For volume licensing or tailored solutions, please contact us.
What if it doesn't work?
You can check the support section of our web-site or use the search field on the bottom of every page to find answers to a wide variety of questions. An alternative is to visit our forums to post a question or a bug report.
If you purchased an EMS (Enhancements, Maintenance and Support services) package together with your 3ivx license or if you are the owner of a 3ivx D3.5 serial number, you can use our e-mail support services.
==> Download it here <== (http://www.3ivx.com/codec/3ivx_d4_404_win.zip) (Windows version)

Hey good codec that 3ivx thing. But now I use DivX total pack nimo codec pack and that 3vix thing. Can I uninstall the others without getting in trouble? I mean if they cancel each other out there must be one good codec (pack) which can be used for all movies.
