edonkey is a memory hog?

Hi everyone, I'm new to edonkey (for winblows) - and noticed this morning that when I use it, it grinds my system to a halt! Has anyone else encoutered this problem, and if so, what did you do about it?

yeah I noticed that also, so I use emule which is better with system resources.

It is likely that the new version of Shareaza will incorporate ED2K support, so check that out tomorrow when the beta comes out.

surely you mean support for ed2k file hashes, and not support for the ed2k network....
