Edonkey bot2? Anyone know anything?

Hi;
I intended to download newest edonkey, (0.48)
( 4.21.03 )

does Edonkey has spyware?
if it does how to remove it?

I came across this site: http://www.file-finder.com/indexedk.htm
that offers " eDonkeyBot2" which search overnet as well,
but you have to pay for the software, anyone know anything about this?

edonkey2000 version 0.48 does have spyware, but you can opt to not install it during the installation process...just choose an advanced installation and read everything carefully.

as for the overnet search capability, it's built in to the official edonkey client.

edonkeybot is banned by emule and emule is the mojority of clients on the edonkey network.

you might want to try emule as well. Its considered better than the original edonkey client.

it gives you an opt out, and if you use it, the install halts

install it, take out new.net in add rmove, restart, then run ad-aware and/or spybot

how about spyware in emule?

if you have emule do you need to have edonkey?

I guess might not be Necessary to have them both runnig.

no, emule does not search/download from overnet.

is overnet any good? doesn't it require .net? i'm thinking about it. unless it uses .net, then screw it...

I decided to download Edonkey 2000,

on Edoney site, there are four files to download,
do I have to install them all,
I have used overnet and Kazaa, all have only one file, now getting confuesed,

these are the files for download:

eDonkey2000 GUI
eDonkey Command line client
eDonkey Server
eDonkey Controller (Java)

the new versions of overnet and edonkey don't use .net anymore.

Lol 555 all you need is the GUI version of edonkey.

I installed Edonkey, and everything seems to work properly,

I started to download a file about two weeks ago from Overnet,
but stops downloading couple of days ago, and it seemed no one shares that file anymore,
anyway now after searching the file in Edonkey immediately start downloading, the speed is very low, and because the file is 296 MB, it takes lot of times to be finnished.
I have already downloaded 268 MB of this file from Overnet,

I don't know if possible , I want to continue downloading the file from Edonkey, just saving some time.
I tried to transfer the downloaded files to temproray folder of Edonkey, but it did not recognize it,

is this possible?
