Hmm........what happened to the bad IP block list? I can't seem to find it anywhere on google and I was hoping I could import a lot of the addresses into my firewall.

I can't find ZeroData's list any more which is part of the reason I did..

http://methlab.tech.nu

I've added a lot of ranges from ZeroData's list... It provides the lists in PG format (so you can add ranges by clicking on a link in ya web-browser) and in plain-text for other firewalls. Will be adding a link to IP-tables for linux users soon as well.

Peace!!

i got this version probably last week great work method i liked the first release and this one is even better but one problem i seemed to have had with the last version and this one is after i let it run for days sometimes it will give me a runtime error and then shut down and with the last one once it did that it wouldn't start back up period even after i rebooted and reinstalled it but with this one it started back up once i rebooted

This version was only released yesterday. You've probably got v1.95b... it suffered from Run-time error #6, mainly for EDonkey users. Should be better in this version.

You can use it with any p2p application that uses TCP/IP to communicate, it's for anyone to use.

Essentially it was an experiment to see if I could close connections used by other applications, I then made it cross reference a blocking list and added a few extras... I guess I should put more detailed information up and a readme.txt with it some time soon. I've never said it's superior to anything else, it's just an experiment that a lot of people seemed to take a liking to.

I've got another "little" experiment for ya, man ;-)
since you were sucessful in being able to close connections used by other applications....how about seeing if you can bandwidth control and throttle other applications in a similiar manner as the way you did in the latest xs client?
I was thinking of a download limiter to restrict yes you read right...RESTRICT the amount of kilobytes per sec I can download using other clients like kazaa/ftp/etcetera...and yes of course i have nefarious reasons for asking this...can anyone guess what the point of limiting your own download speeds would or could possibly be?

knowledge is free...share it....is a nice saying but i covet my knowledge unfortunately i don't have enough of it... ;-)
