I am looking for a UK ISP that has a monthly "unlimited dial up" deal and supports ISDN. I am currently with OneTel who do all these things BUT they disconnect me evrytime my session exceeds two hours (which is a real bummer for file sharing). Any suggestions? Does such an ISP exist?:devil

Welcome binger.

The only one I know of is BT. BT's Home Highway is (http://www.bt.com/homehighway/) is, however, very expensive.

Can you get cable in your area? Or ADSL? Both (obviously) have no conection time-limit.

Shutup SB.

Maybe it's because ISDN could be significantly cheaper than ADSL/Cable? Or maybe he/she can't get either of the other two options but wants to go faster than Dial-Up? Hmmm? Didn't think of that did you................or maybe you were just trying to look "Supreme".

@bringer, stop being lazy and do your own research, at least read alt.internet.provider.uk.0800, this question is often asked there.

>Does such an ISP exist?
Of course, but it costs more.

Blueyonder dialup if you have a telewest phone line.

mailbox.net.uk (http//www.mailbox.net.uk) do allways on routed ISDN (http://www.mailbox.net.uk/page.php?cid=20) for two hundred quid a year, static ip available.

I don't think plusnet's ConnectBiz forty quid a month tariff has a cutoff but ask them first.

Demon(Thus) do buisness ISDN at an enormous cost. UUnet is even more expensive.

Nothing is cheaper than free ISDN! Can't get ADSL because it involves lots of digging. Cant get cable. ISDN or dial up thats my choice and my company pays for ISDN.

Hang on DSL is faster than ISDN I thought. So why is ISDN more expensive?

Yes, he does have a point. But he needs to stop and think what he's saying before he says stupid things! ADSL isn't widely available in the UK outside of cities, like cable.
