Quick question...I've transferring some music around and I keep finding files with the "name_of__song.mp3.lamp". They're always of a song I already have, and end up in the same directory. They just seem to pop up out of nowhere. I'm guessing it's either winamp or maybe kazaalite or one of the other P2P's I've used, but I can't figure it out. They're like 2 kb's bigger than the song they're a copy of...I can't figure out what they are or where they came from. They're apparently not important cause I keep deleting them and nothing happens, but it would be nice to know what's going on. I can't find them in any of the online file extension databases or any manuals. It's not really critical I don't think, but hopefully I'm not deleting anything important.

If your paranoide about stuff lurking in your computer that should not be thier then i suggest you use a certain program that almost everyone in here uses.
SpyBot (http://beam.to/spybotsd)
as to what they are _ i have no idea but since you are new user here i suggest you use that and remove all the crap in your computer.
Warning this will corrupt you Regular Kazaa media Desktop _ so i suggest you remove it and install.
Kazaa Lite (http://doa2.host.sk/)
Enjoy

Yeah...I tried to check all those file extension things.
I already have Kazaalite, and use Ad-Aware to get rid of all the crap. I've never actually had KMD installed on this computer, learned my lesson on my old POS. It's not really a big deal, but like I said...it worries me. Also they're all pretty big, the size of a song file, and are taking up room. It's starting to piss me off, I used to just delete the damn things and let that be the end of it, but they keep coming back. I also have Norton and a firewall, so I don't think it's a virus...I'm kinda hoping someone else here had the same problem.
The only thing I could think of was that an older version of Kazaalite(and I'm assuming kazaa and diet kaza) had a recommendation thing, where it would look at your music collection and recommend songs. I never used it, but that's really the only thing I can think of.
Oh well, I'll figure it out.
Thanks though.

OK, nevermind, I found it. I was lying in bed at like 3 in the morning and remembered. They're lyricsAMP, a plugin for winamp, files. I don't know why lyricsamp would be doing this, but at least I know what they are.
