AdAware is a free multi spyware removal utility that scans your memory, registry and hard drives for known data mining, advertising, and tracking components (a.k.a. spyware) and lets you remove them safely. AdAware includes user-defined file sizes, which speeds up the scanning process by excluding files that it recognizes as clean. good program thats finds most nasties, usr this with spyware doctor,winpatrol plus and zonealarm suite for a clean smooth running computer...
spybot is ok but the above found stuff that didn't... |

this is a really good programe, does what it says, it gets rid of adds and some spyware, also get spybot search and destroy to finish it off, i used AdAware to get rid of kazaa, it worked, thumbs up |

My uncle brought me an old computer (AMD K6 500) that wouldnt even boot up. After re-installing Eindows 98SE it took almost 5 minutes to finally finish loading! I installed ad-aware, got the update and it discovered over 90(!!!) pieces of spyware/adware on his computer. After cleaning Windows with Ad-Aware, Spybot and AVG free anti-virus it took less than 90 seconds to boot up, and ran much faster. This along with the other programs are must have if you want to keep your PC spyware free. Many bad P2P programs and free apps have spyware/adware that installs without you knowing it. Get this, Spybot, and a good anti-virus, run it at least a week, and be safe. |

Great tool, been using it a long time and it has no drawbacks. First time I used it was on an old Win'98 box which had in effect stopped working. Ran ad Aware, found over 100 nasties, deleted them and the PC sprang back to life. I now install it on every PC I build, repair, service or upgrade. Spybot is as good but Ad Aware is a lot friendlier for the average user. |

AdAware is on my computer along with two other spy and add removers, you can't over do it with AdAware, like you can do with some of the other programs [like removeing win services you use],it's a good safe usefull tool,an old friend. |
